Rock Salt

Alternative names – sodium chloride, common salt, halite, 0-6mm in size a crystalline solid which is red-brown in colour and is odourless.

The rock salt is freely soluble, with some insoluble marlstone residue. Main use is for de-icing roads, paths, playgrounds etc.
